College Jacques Monod
College Jacques Monod is a public school under the Aix-Marseille education authority. It provides excellent education to pupils aged 11-15 years, including a bilingual stream known as an International Section.
The school provides secondary education, at the end of which pupils take their first public examination - the “Diplome National du Brevet”.

Classes usually have around 28 pupils, except for the International Section groups which have around 12 pupils.
Most pupils eat in the school canteen. There are seven or eight classes per level, which makes around 750 pupils altogether.
Mrs Philippe, the Headmistress, or Mrs Bertrand, the Deputy Head, and the student supervisors welcome pupils every morning in front of the gate.
Jacques Monod is open every weekday morning from 8 am. In both the sessions - morning and afternoon - there are 4 classes of 55 minutes each. Classes begin at 8:20 and finish at 17:15.
